Join Me for a Local Author Talk on Nothing Like Normal

I’m delighted to invite you to a special author talk centered on my memoir, Nothing Like Normal (2nd Edition).

This heartfelt memoir explores what it was like growing up with an older sister who developed schizophrenia at the age of fifteen. In the newly released second edition, the story continues with a moving epilogue as I reconnect with my sister’s daughter, revealing how hope, healing, and joy can emerge even after years of loss and pain.

Whether you have been personally affected by mental illness, cared for a loved one with a chronic condition, or simply enjoy inspiring true stories, this conversation offers an opportunity to reflect on resilience, family, and healing.

  1. Wow – thank you SO much for reblogging this post, Martha! I cannot begin to tell you how much it means to me that you’ll come to the “private” talk at the library. (It’s so small I had to make it that way…..) Looking forward to seeing you and maybe we can do some kind of fun, book-related event together next year, even a podcast????
